- ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆Went to this cosy pub recently with friends. A great place! Didn't have a reservation, but got a table near the bar that had been reserved for much later (we were there at 6pm). Wait staff were awesome and the food was delicious. Really enjoyed the shepherds pie, topped with mashed sweet potato instead of the usual mashed potato. It came with a lovely salad, too. The Strongbow cider I had was good, but would've appreciated getting the can as well as a glass, as other places do. The sticky toffee is also not to be missed. Next time, will reserve a table in the back room where the fireplace is, as it filled up and got very noisy where we were. It is a pub, after all.By Susan Hoshowski, October 30, 2016
