- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Highly recommend Hot House restaurant. Great food, excellent wait staff, personal service, super location at Front & Church in Toronto. Andrew and Eleanor (the owners) treat us like family. 5 stars tonight!By Susanne Hamilton, April 17, 2017
- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★I have been to Hot House twice now and both times I was very impressed. The brunch buffet is delicious with many quality items to sample from. You definitely don't feel ripped off when you see the spread (or taste it). The service was excellent. Whoever is managing this place has a firm handle on how to direct their staff. My plates were always cleaned off the table before I returned, and they were all beyond courteous. The place was clean, washrooms were immaculate and the decor is pleasant. t They even have live jazz playing for sunday brunch. I have yet to try the wednesday night dinner buffet... But the time will come! Thanks Hot House you're doing it right!By Jo Burns, February 25, 2017
- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★The thing I really love about Hot House, is that my experience is consistent every time. It is always one of my suggestions when people ask for a weekend brunch. The Sunday buffet is a well known Toronto favourite. Always hopping with music and mimosas flowing. The small army of kitchen staff that flow between the guests somehow manage to keep everything full and fresh no matter how busy it gets. For a something a less overwhelming, try the Saturday breakfast menu. It a till has a good variety of light and hearty choices, but in a much more relaxed environment. Pair it with a visit to St Lawrence Market, little more than a block away, and you've got a great morning. The staff seem to have a good sense of what a table is looking for. I meet a friend there to catch-up on life and we never feel rushed or hovered over while still having everything we might need or want. Overall, while the menu could never be described as cutting edge, I'm not sure I would want my breakfast to be too far out. What is offered are familiar choices that are well prepared and served by friendly people in a well maintained space. In fact, probably only thing I might recommend an upgrade on is the drip coffee. It's ok, in that middle of the road sort of way, but In a city with so many accessible options for great quality beans, good enough is easy to move over to great. That being said, you can always have a latte or some tea instead of drip coffee. You should try this place out. You'll be happy with what yuh find.By Charles Shorrock, October 08, 2016
