  Not much different from the regular sushi restaurant The design of the restaurant looks a lot nicer than other places. They have a bar concept in the middle of the restaurant and seating all around the restaurant. Service was excellent. The waiters were friendly. Sashimi was decent. Pretty fresh. The salad was very good. It not like the normal salads you get at other places. They have a different dressing which I liked a lot. We had chicken in our salad but the chicken looked old, overcooked, and dry. The sweet potato tempura was undercooked. When you bit into it the potato is semi soft. We also ordered some take out. The take out portion seemed very small. There was like half a bowl of rice in the dinner set. It's better to dine in at the restaurant.

  This may sound weird, but Sushi Moto serves the best California roll I've ever had. Everything was fresh and delicious. The staff was very friendly. Service was a little bit slow, but considering I was at a table of 6 people, they did an excellent job delivering everything (we waited ~30 minutes for our food). The price is a little bit higher than average, but totally worth it for the high quality food and service. I'd definitely have lunch here again.

  Where to start with Sushi Moto... Pros Location is accessible from street level and is close to Sheppard subway station. Restaurant appears large, roomy and clean Decent menu Food is average Cons Service is practically non existent (if you're white). If you want anything you usually have to ask for a server several times before they will even look in your general location. They'll eventually get back to you, that is, if they don't stop and talk to all their Asian customers along the way. By then it's likely they've forgotten what it is you wanted and continue to ignore you until you bother them again. I would never usually make these kinds of claims but at my table of 3 everyone noticed how we were repeatedly ignored by the staff while they were having a great time chatting up the other tables. I don't think it's blatant racism but I think they need to understand it's not acceptable. Will not return to this restaurant.
